Absalom and Tribe was founded in 1976 by John Absalom at London’s historic Smithfield Meat Market, the main cutting and distribution hub for all meat in London, the South East and further afield. Originally trading in lamb and pork, John Absalom was later joined by Bob Tribe and together they expanded the business to include beef. Together the two young traders developed a wholesale meat business renowned in the industry for retaining quality suppliers with a keen focus on quality meats.

Absalom and Tribe provide a refrigerated delivery service five days a week which firmly cements us as an important partner with our customers.
In addition, we have continually implemented and embraced the most stringent regulations to ensure a modern, clean and safe production and delivery process.
